Emma House exists because generous people like you donate their time, efforts, and talents!
Are you ready to volunteer?
Our staff and facilities welcome volunteers who have a desire to give back!
From offering classes, to preparing meals with/for our residents, to our on-going projects, Emma House lovingly welcomes volunteers.

Individual Opportunities: Volunteer Your Services
Life Skills Program Facilitators: Do you teach pre-natal yoga, offer resume writing services, have course facilitation experience/skills or have some other uniquely helpful talent that would help build life skills into our clients? We’d love to offer your volunteer services to our clients through our Life Skills Program. We are currently looking for volunteers to help facilitate our Boundaries class and Parenting classes (training and curriculum provided).
Meal Time Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers who will come and cook lunch or dinner for/with Emma House residents to help support our staff.
Day Support Workers: We are looking for volunteers to help take care of babies while their moms are taking classes in our Life Skills Program. The mom would be on-site and within reach but the volunteer will help so the mom can focus on the class. We are also looking for day-time volunteers to help drive clients to appointments and be at Emma House for extra support to clients and staff. Shifts for Day Support Workers are 2-3 hours long for a minimum commitment of once per month.
Maintenance: This role is perfect for the handyman or woman. Minor repairs and routine maintenance are crucial to keeping our home safe for moms and babies.
Respite Workers: Would you like to donate an evening or overnight to help provide ongoing care at our home? We provide 24/7 community care for our moms and need a team to make it happen. For more information, click here for the volunteer job posting.
Mentoring Moms Program: Motherhood is filled with moments of love and laughter, but it can also be overwhelming, lonely, and difficult at times. Very few of the moms at Emma House have safe and healthy family or friends to turn to for maternal empathy and support. The Mentoring Moms Program connects an Emma House mom with a volunteer mom who will serve as a natural support system and become an advocate and friend. This would include having meals together, inviting them to family gatherings, offering emotional support, and simply hanging out.
Event Planning Committee: We are looking for volunteers to join our event planning committee and help us organize and lead various fund raising events and social events throughout the year!
Special Events: Sponsorship of an event to help Emma House raise awareness and funds to help vulnerable women and their babies.
Sponsor A Meal: Buy the groceries and have volunteers come and make dinner for our moms.
House and Yard Maintenance: When the season allows, we need groups to come and do deep cleans of the house and yard maintenance.
Special Events: Volunteer to help serve at a special event that allows Emma House staff to run opportunities that raise awareness and funds for the vulnerable in our city.
